I am still making progress on my script for my original graphic novel series The God Factor. I will not be shopping around for an artist until after I finish the script but I am going to make a rough draft here of the things I will need from the artist who eventually draws it.

As you can see the artist will need to be able to draw an assortment of men and women as well as some humanoid aliens, one Lovecraftian monster god, and several different mecha. But that is not all.
Faces: being able to capture the characters facial expressions will be important because I have several instances where the characters are not always communicating with words. A lot of the emotional weight of some scenes will depend on how well the emotions on the characters faces come across.
An Upper Class Southern California setting: most of volume 1 takes place in a rich southern California community. The story will go to other places in later volumes but for the start it remains in one location.
One of those hummer limos: at one point someone hits the Lovecraftian monster god in the face with a hummer limo they snatched from someones driveway.
Experience with Sequential Art: it will go a long way to endear me to an artist for this if they have examples of sequential art. It does not have to be professional work as long as they have at least tried to draw a story before.
And that is all for now. I will add to the list if I think of anything else.
